Description

Sole E95 Elliptical Review

When it comes to full-body cardio workouts, the elliptical trainer springs to mind.

You’ll wake up in the morning with a full set of DOMS after using one of these bad boys. The same can’t be said for treadmills and spin bikes.

Check out Fitness Savvy’s full, unbiased review, and compare prices to find the best deals for the Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer.

Quick Verdict

The E95 Elliptical is pretty darn impressive, we must say. It’s a solidly-built, quiet machine with enough incline and resistance to challenge the fittest of people.

Customers raved about the smoothness and sturdiness, and the vast majority would recommend the E95. It’s simple to assemble and replicates a commercial gym feel.

No brand is perfect, so faults happen from time to time. The question is – are you covered if something does go wrong? With a generous warranty and great customer service, the answer here is yes.

The Sole E95 is ideal for those seeking a quiet, well-built machine with a good warranty and a budget of $1,500 – $2,000.

About the Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer

Sole Fitness is famed for its fantastic warranties and affordable home gym equipment.

Perhaps they are better known for their treadmills, such as the legendary F80 & F85, but their expertise doesn’t stop at running machines.

The E95 Elliptical trainer slots nicely into the Sole Fitness product range as a mid-budget cardio option.

With a high maximum user weight of 400 lbs, plenty of resistance, and sturdy and quiet operation, there’s plenty here to like.

On the downside, as with all Sole’s products, the built-in display monitor feels dated. You can attach your tablet and download an app such as Studio, but the monthly cost is around $20.

The E95 also has a larger footprint than the E55 and E25, so check your available space before committing.

Another common gripe is that sweat can drip into the flywheel seam. Some customers advise caulking it to stop this happening.

What Customers Think of the Sole E95 Elliptical

We looked online and discovered 108 customer reviews for the Sole E95. Overall, they scored this machine 4.5/5.

PROS:
  • The Sole E95 replicates a high-quality commercial gym experience for most customers.
  • According to the majority of reviewers, this elliptical provides a smooth and comfortable ride.
  • Many users commented on how quiet the E95 is.
  • One customer initially gave a bad review due to three faults with their machine. Customer service sorted repairs and eventually a replacement. They updated their review after a year to confirm they had no further issues.
  • Sole Fitness provides industry-leading warranties. The previous point demonstrates the commitment to their product quality.
  • The machine arrives well-packaged, along with all the necessary assembly tools.
  • Assembly is straightforward and can easily be completed in around 3-4 hours with two people or 5-6 hours with one.
  • Ergonomically designed handlebars allow different hand positions for additional comfort and varied upper-body workouts.
  • Customers were happy with the range of incline and resistance, saying it provides a varied and challenging workout.

CONS:
  • Several buyers report a clicking noise in the pedals. After replacing, some report the noise continuing.
  • The heart rate grips are inaccurate, according to one customer.
  • Interactivity is not great, with a further $20 per month required for the Studio app – an alternative to NordicTrack and ProForm’s iFit.
  • Sweat can drip into the flywheel seam and cause issues down the line. The advice is to seal it with caulk.

My Experience with the Sole E95 Trainer

I haven’t yet personally tested the E95 trainer.

Once I’ve tried it out, I’ll update this review to give you all the details.

Until then, I’ve highlighted below why you can trust our reviews – even when we haven’t tested the products ourselves.

Why You Should Trust Fitness Savvy Reviews

Here are five reasons Fitness Savvy’s reviews are the most reliable and trustworthy.

  1. Fitness Savvy CEO Robin Young writes all reviews. Robin is an experienced fitness expert who innovates new ways to build muscle and lose fat. Robin’s body re-composition series on YouTube is popular, and his new workout forms part of a cutting-edge study – due to be published in 2023.
  2. While other review sites hide prices behind buttons like “click to see the best price,” we’re transparent – you’ll always see the prices without having to click through to another site.
  3. As a price comparison website, we provide options so you can choose a preferred retailer and get the best prices. We might earn a commission, but we’re not limiting your options and directing you to whoever pays us the most.
  4. We schedule regular product page updates. Technical stats for treadmills change regularly. While we cannot guarantee that all info on our site is 100% correct (no one can), we work hard to ensure it’s as accurate as possible.
  5. Our unique Savvy Score accounts for factors such as customer feedback, testing analysis, and product features based on price point. Read more about how we review and rate products.
