If there’s one thing we’ve learned about ProForm Fitness from the hundreds of reviews we’ve done, it is this: the product and customer support can be hit or miss.
For those based in the UK, customer support appears to be great, and the UK models seem to arrive with fewer faults.
However, US customers quite often criticize ProForm for having poor customer service, and we do notice more units arriving faulty on that side of the pond. Perhaps it’s due to how the product is transported, or maybe they have different quality control processes. Either way, it’s certainly something to be aware of.
The Treadmill Itself
Anyway, back to the treadmill itself and the features.
Many people opt for ProForm treadmills because of the iFit compatibility. One issue here is that some users get frustrated and believe that you must sign up to iFit to use the machine – this is not true. You can simply change the treadmill to manual mode and this is covered in the instruction leaflet.
iFit allows you to partake in a huge range of interactive workouts across many global locations. This means that you’re unlikely to get bored of the same routines. This particular model also has its own integrated tablet so there is no need to connect a separate device.
The running surface is large – but not massive – so taller people (over 6 feet tall) might consider purchasing a machine with a larger running area.
The motor is a powerful 2.75 CHP and it can accommodate users of up to 300 lbs at inclines of 12%.
It has a range of other features including a folding design, water bottle holder, built-in speakers and a fan.
Overall, this treadmill strikes a great balance between price and features and is certainly worth being on anyone’s shortlist to buy.
